Project Overview
Webspires designed and developed a complete takeaway ordering website for Junk and Crumbs, a popular burger and comfort food takeaway on Edge Lane in Droylsden, Manchester. The business wanted customers to order directly through its own website instead of relying only on third-party delivery apps. We handled the full project: planning, web design, online ordering setup, development and launch.
The Brief
Every order placed through a third-party app costs a takeaway commission. Junk and Crumbs needed a website that would:
Let customers browse the menu and order online in a few taps
Reflect the brand's bold, playful personality
Encourage repeat orders and customer loyalty
Show opening hours, location and contact details clearly
Work perfectly on mobile, where most food orders happen
Features We Built
Online Ordering with Cart and Checkout
The core of the site is a direct ordering system. Customers browse menu categories, add items to their cart and check out without leaving the Junk and Crumbs website.
Customer Accounts
Sign-in and account features make reordering quick for regulars and help the business build its own customer base.
Junk Club Loyalty Membership
We gave the Junk Club its own place on the site, promoting member benefits such as early access to new menu items, free merchandise and exclusive discounts to keep customers coming back.
Mobile App Links
Links to the Junk and Crumbs app on Google Play and the App Store give customers another direct way to order.
Brand-Led Design
Bold visuals and a playful tone bring the brand's personality online, while the About page tells the Junk and Crumbs story.
Clear Opening Hours and Social Links
Opening hours, address, phone number and links to Facebook, Instagram and TikTok are easy to find, along with full terms, privacy, cookie and service disclaimer pages.
Technology
The website runs on a secure online ordering platform with a fully responsive design, optimised for fast browsing and checkout on mobile phones.
The Outcome
Junk and Crumbs now has its own branded ordering website that lets customers across Manchester order direct, join the loyalty club and come back for more. Direct ordering gives the business more control over its customer relationships and reduces reliance on commission-based apps. Want to sell direct online? See our e-commerce work.
